Resolutions

Song Lyric of the Day:

Forgotten thoughts of yesterdays / Through my eyes I see the past

Puddle of Mudd / “Drift & Die”

9:21PM. Listening to one of my Christmas gift CDs, Gladiator: More Music from the Motion Picture (thanks, Dad!), as I rearrange my desk to make room for another of my gifts, my new Canon Pixma iP6000D printer (thanks, Rich!). Well, listening to the CD as best I can with Snoops and Caleb duking it out for the now-silent Zumbah Boobah.

9:40AM. I admit, I already failed on one New Year’s resolution. Obviously. I meant to write an entry yesterday, and it just slipped out of my mind. I’ll have to make a concentrated effort on keeping my other resolutions. One of those is to update at least twice a day. We’ll see how I do on that one. More on other resolutions later.

Yesterday we took down the Christmas decorations and then I cleaned the living room. Then Rich and I ended up watching the thriller “Below” last night, so by the time I had time to blog, I was too tired and just wanted to go to bed. The movie was really good, though. It’s about a Navy sub that picks up 3 survivors from a sinking British hospital ship in 1943. Once the survivors are on board, all sorts of creepy things start to happen. I’m talking genuine, atmospheric creepy versus in-your-face scares. There were even a couple of scenes where we backed up the DVD to be sure we’d seen what we thought we’d seen. Both Rich and I got the heebie jeebies big time. And one of the leads, Matthew Davis, really reminded me of an Indiana Jones-era Harrison Ford. Very nice to look at. And he can act, too, as anyone who has seen “Tigerland” can attest.
