And Now, Back to Repeats

“Lost” Recap Haiku – “Do No Harm

Jack’s savior complex
Boone dies as Claire gives new life
Shannon grieves alone

4:01PM.
Wow. “Lost” was a doozy last night. Like most viewers, Rich and I were kind of waiting for the typical “Lost” twist–Boone was too obviously injured to die. Surely, it would be someone else, someone unexpected. Claire lost in the throes of childbirth? Locke done in by the mystery hatch? Alas, Claire delivered a healthy baby boy while Locke was nowhere to be found. And therein was the big twist–there was no twist. Boone died. He gave Jack his permission to let him go; the good doctor didn’t have a chance of saving him in their island infirmary. Boone also wanted Jack to give his stepsister, Shannon, a message, but all he managed to get out was, “Tell Shannon…” I wonder if he was going to leave her a last declaration of love, or if he was going to tell her off. Now, we’ll never know. Or will we? After all, on this island, the dead have been known to appear very much alive after the fact.

As good as last night’s and last week’s episodes were, we get three weeks of repeats AGAIN. I wish ABC would stop torturing us like this. The next new episode is on May 4, a week after a special called “Lost: The Journey” that is basically an introduction of the show and a recap of what’s happened so far this season. I have to say, as good as this show is, I’ll probably watch the special. I’ve caught things during repeats I missed the first time around, so maybe I can pick up on other clues, hints, and foreshadowing during the special.

I swear, this show is like our Wednesday night TV crack fix. We go through withdrawal when it’s not on.

HAHAHA, Wednesday night crack fix. It is definitely true. I mean if I have something to do that night, I will try to rush home so I can atleast watch the last 30 minutes of the show. “Lost crack is good!”
