Rich and I watched “Veronica Mars” last night instead of “Lost,” so the recap haiku will be posted later tonight. We alternate which show we watch first each week, since the SOB TV programmers at ABC and UPN scheduled two of the best dramas on TV right now against each other. At least we have a dual-tuner Tivo so both shows can get recorded, which staves off me throwing a tantrum each week should either show be missed. After watching VM (love, love, LOVE this show!), Rich retreated to the office to play some “World of Warcraft” while I continued my weeklong “Firefly” marathon. I’m really enjoying the show and am reminded of how TV is lacking this year in that no Whedonverse shows are on the air. I’m aiming to finish my “Firefly” marathon tomorrow so Rich and I can try to see “Serenity” tomorrow night.

Yum Yum’s vet recheck went well this morning. His X-rays show that his tibia is definitely set properly, so we don’t have to worry about putting a new cast on him. He has another recheck in two weeks. It seems like much longer, but his cast hasn’t even been on one full week yet. Five weeks and two days to go!

Jonathan rocks! First, he came over to our house to help with the leak our newly-installed toilet sprung in the loft bathroom. Second, he took a look at our Tivo-DVR connections and figured out it was the actual TV output that needed to be adjusted. Since we have a top-of-the-line Samsung HDTV our Tivo was set up to send the output in high definition. Turns out the DVR can’t read the high-definition input but can read the standard input. So now I not only have the validation that the Tivo-DVR connections I made were correct all along, but I can now begin clearing out our massive Tivo list: “Router Workshop” episodes for Rich; “The O.C.,” “C.S.I.,” and “Bones” for Samantha; U2‘s guest spot on “Late Night with Conan O’Brien” for Jonathan; and “Without a Trace,” “Alias,” “Arrested Development,” and, oh, a couple of episodes of “Prison Break” for me. Big surprise, I know.
