Jonathan and Curry treated Rich and I to dinner tonight as a thank you for taking care of Mojo and Ned last week. I got to choose where, so I picked Green Hills Grille, a place Rich and I have wanted to try for a while now. After doing nothing but housework and general organizational stuff around the house for two days in a row, I was ready for a break and looking forward to being social. Rich and I both got to the restaurant a bit early, so we went ahead and got seated and ordered an appetizer while we waited for Jonathan and Curry. They arrived right at 7 as planned; turns out they had also gotten there early and had been looking around the shopping center. We had a great time–the food was good, the company was great, and I now know that Benjamin is a worse navigator than I am. Which is really saying something–I’ve been known to get lost in amusement parks because I can’t read those blasted cartoony maps (thanks to Vanessa for getting us out of Kings Dominion alive). But at least I know I’d never end up in Kentucky driving home from Nashville. Thanks for the self-esteem boost, Jonathan (and thanks to B, in a roundabout kind of way). It’s always great to laugh with your friends. Getting to occasionally laugh at them is also pretty great.

After dinner, Rich and I headed home and caught up on “Lost” from the night before. So far, I’m really enjoying the new season. While I’m one of the most impatient people you could ever know, having the island’s secrets slowly doled out is not a problem for me. I wonder about those “Lost” fans who want all the answers ASAP. Where’s the fun in that?

As you may have noticed, I have started and caught up on my “Lost” recap haikus for the first three episodes of the second season. I’ll be sure to post them right after the show, either Wednesday night or Thursday morning, starting with next week’s episode. I hope the two of you who like them aren’t too disappointed.
