1:35PM.
Yesterday was a huge day here in the Lee household. First, our horrible guest bathroom/laundry room mystery leak has been squelched. Sam, the plumber, couldn’t make it back out, but his colleague, Charlie, did a great job replacing the water heater. Sure enough, a few hours later, the guest bathroom carpet was drying out. I’m on cloud nine about it, enjoying putting the bathroom back together and cleaning the laundry room knowing it will now stay clean. Thanks again to Jonnie and Mr. Page for doing the footwork in figuring out where the leak was coming from.

The truly momentous event yesterday is that Caleb peed with his leg up for the first time ever. Of course, Caleb being Caleb, he didn’t do the typical I’m-a-boy-dog-look-how-far-out-my-leg-can-go-as-I-pee-on-this-spot thing. Instead, he managed to do a spot-on impression of a flamingo, holding his hind left leg curled up against his belly. If only I’d had the camera handy right then…

Today has been an equally exciting day here. First, Fowler’s Furniture safely delivered our beautiful new china cabinet. So between putting things in the cabinet and working in the guest bathroom and laundry room, I’m going to have a very busy afternoon. But this is housework I’m genuinely happy to be able to do–not only do we have our dining room set intact again, but now that my footsteps don’t splash on the guest bathroom carpet, it’s like a brand new room again.

The truly momentous event today is that I got a call about a resume I submitted online yesterday to the parent company of the last company I worked for in Virginia. I will be going by tomorrow to pick up an application and get the interview set up.

On top of everything else, Friday night I have a date with our photographer friend, Ash, here at the house; he’s coming over to take my headshots for submittal to the talent agency.

See, if I hadn’t posted my world domination resume yesterday, none of this would’ve happened. That’s what I choose to believe, anyway.
