The Hubby’s Birthday

Song Lyric of the Day:

Sure the World Wide Web is great / But you, you make me salivate / Yes, I love technology / But not as much as you, you see / But I still love technology / Always and Forever

Happy birthday to Rich! I’m honored to be sharing another year with this incredible man, my best friend, and I look forward to sharing many, many more. I hope all his birthday wishes come true. And, for the record, my blue-eyed boy is still as handsome as the day I met him. We’re having a family dinner tonight at Ginza Japanese Steakhouse to celebrate. Last year was a trip to D.C., but this year Rich wanted a low-key, family celebration. So that’s what we’re doing.

I know my parents will be there in spirit, despite being in Puerto Rico taking care of my grandma’s last wish, which was to be buried back home. Thanks again to everyone for their support this week–our hometown friends, our Virginia (and other out-of-state) friends, extended family, and the gang in Muse Watson’s fan group. Thanks, everybody. Special thanks to my awesome Aunt Bea for managing to not only express her condolences in a phone call earlier this morning, but for managing to make me laugh and for telling me what a fan of my blog she is. I know we’re going to have a blast when she and her fiance, Louis, stay at our house for Vanessa and Ken’s wedding.

By the way, I haven’t forgotten about recapping our trip to Louisville, KY, to see Coldplay on Thursday night. I’ll try to get to that later today. I moved into Mom and Dad’s house yesterday to take care of their dogs and cats while they’re away, so I’m a bit behind on things. At least this time around the dogs respect me much more than the last time. Even though they’re still bed hogs.
