When I first started my blog, it was when Rich and I were living in Chesapeake, VA. I started it because (1) Rich kept bugging me to blog and (2) as a way to keep our family and friends in Tennessee in the loop. Now I use it to (1) keep my friends in Virginia and family outside of Tennessee in the loop, (2) to rant or express my opinion about whatever I feel like and (3) to obsess. So based on my site counters, I know 90% of the readers who stop by on a regular basis. I know why I read strangers’ (for lack of a better word) blogs, but how about those of you who don’t know me and stop by regularly? I’m curious (and nosy to a fault) about what brings you back on a semi-regular basis. Is it my sparkling wit and personality? My skill with the English language? My ever-growing list of Song Lyrics of the Day? Or am I simply and unknowingly part of an anthropological study about pale Nuyoricans living in East Tennessee?

I find it interesting that most of my visitors from overseas (Transylvania, Scotland, the UK, Japan, China) have ended up on my blog based on our mutual admiration of certain actors. Turns out I’m not alone in my love of the show Supernatural; well, Jensen Ackles anyway.

So what about the rest of you folks? Those of you in Atlanta, Georgia; Florence, Alabama; Portland, Oregon; and Battle Creek, Michigan, among many other places — what brings you by?
