The Blog Supremacy

Song Lyric of the Day:

Did you think about the things you’ve had / But did not want to keep / And do the noises outside the window / Make it hard for you to fall asleep

Irving / “Eyes Adjust to Light”

8:42AM.
I got to work early today. Early for me, anyway. I had a dental appointment and now I can show off my clean, shiny white chompers to my friends. Of course, now I don’t want to eat my Clif bar for breakfast because it’ll gunk up my teeth.

While I managed to upload a couple dozen new photos to my Flickr account last night, I couldn’t transfer my latest photos and videos from the camera to my MacBook on account of my startup disk being full. Full, after only having my Mac since July of last year. So guess what I’m doing tonight? That’s right — cleaning up my hard drive.

8:53AM.
Dangit! My email application jumped down from its spot. It’s there, just not in the right place. Stupid HTML code that worked in Firefox but not in IE. Argggh!

5:18PM.
Even though it’s in the wrong place (in IE, anyway), my email application still works. I guess that’s something.

Meanwhile, I’m starving! I’m meeting Tamara at P.F. Chang’s for dinner, which is great. I was really craving Thai food yesterday, but it turns out Little Bangkok in Farragut is closed Mondays. What restaurant is closed on a Monday? Regardless, Rich and I are now Little Bangkok converts. Take that, Taste of Thai!

And in just a little while I’ll get my fill of Asian cuisine. Crab wontons, here I come! Yum!

10:42PM.
Our waitress at P.F. Chang’s was clumsy. She dropped a lot of ice cubes, spilled a bit of water every time she went to refill our glasses. It got to the point that I’d tense up whenever she approached our table, menacing silver pitcher in hand. Of course, it turns out I was worried about the wrong person — Tamara accidentally knocked over her Diet Coke, which in turn knocked over my ice water onto ME. Sogginess aside, Tamara, Vanessa, and I had a nice dinner. I stuffed myself like the little piggy that I am and brought my leftovers home to Rich.

Since then, I’ve been parked on my computer, burning Rich’s photos to CDs and DVDs, deleting them from my iPhoto library, and working to clean up my startup disk. I’ve cleared a whopping 8 GB so far. And there was much rejoicing: yay.

I am so ready to call it a night.
