Shallowness Deferred

Song Lyric of the Day:

We’re drifting, drifting alone apart / Not to show that we’re in need / But I’d heal your wounds if you bleed

The Swell Season
/ “Alone Apart

I blather on about a lot of stuff here, 99 percent of which is unimportant. Which is why I stayed pretty quiet in the wake of the earthquake in Haiti last week; there wasn’t anything I felt like saying that didn’t seem pointless. So I chose not to say anything (save for an already-scheduled post).

Since the disaster, we’ve donated some money, and I’d still like to donate more, most likely to the American Red Cross. (Thanks to The Modern Gal for linking to this article about the importance of only donating cash during a crisis like this.) I want to know that the money I contribute is being put to good use as soon as possible to help those so desperately in need right now. And that’s really all I can manage to say.
