Posting will very likely be light this week. I’ll try to post if I have time, but the American Cancer Society Relay for Life is this Friday (so DONATE NOW and help me fight cancer!) and as team captain I have to do my traditional freakout in getting ready for it. I’m already scheduled to take Friday off so I can have the whole day to set up, but now I’m seriously considering trying to get Thursday off, too; no one else can take Friday off to help me set up, so I need to have as much camping gear ready by Friday as possible. Loading, then unloading, then setting up camping gear in 95+ degree heat? As fantabulous as it sounds. Only thing to top that would be the monsoon that hit the site last year during set up.
Me being me, I’m already feeling my stress level skyrocket. I should easily hit my monthly goal by Wednesday afternoon. And I’m really wishing the UT Writing Personal Essays for Magazines class I signed up for wasn’t Thursday night; I really need Thursday night to prepare for the relay, but the class is already paid for, so what am I gonna do? Dust off a personal essay or two I’ve written and head down there with the three friends I signed up with.
And now I can let the freakout begin … now.

I don’t know why I thought sacrificing my Tickle Me Elmo doll to Caleb was a good idea. He’s only had it since Saturday, but — wow, it’s annoying.
