Happy Thanksgiving!

People, Events, & Things I’m Thankful for in 2005 (thanks to Brent for the inspiration)

  1. My husband, Rich – my best friend
  2. My family: Mom, Dad, Samantha, and Vanessa – the best, most supportive, amazing family ever
  3. My other family: Momma Carol, Pappa Doug, and Kirsten – the best, most supportive, amazing other family ever
  4. My inner circle – Jonathan, Curry, Brent, Tamara, Benjamin, Shay, Joan, and Sharon – I’d be lost without them
  5. My friends in Virginia – I miss them dearly
  6. Moving back home to Tennessee – one of the best decisions Rich and I have ever made
  7. Getting laid off – a blessing in disguise
  8. Tamara’s graduation – moving home allowed us to be there for her
  9. Vanessa and Samantha’s respective engagements – my baby sisters are happy–enough said
  10. Witnessing Jonathan and Curry’s 10th anniversary wedding vow renewal – so nice they got married twice
  11. My new house – A-frames rock
  12. My laptop – lets me share my feelings, insights, and ramblings with the world
  13. Tivo – just read most of my posts
  14. Rich’s new car – much deserved
  15. Big Ed’s Pizza – now I can eat there more than twice a year

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving spent with their loved ones.

Be thankful for everything you have–it’s much more than you realize.

I have Atari thumb. I spent a couple of hours today playing the old-school classics: Galaga, Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Keystone Kapers, and Pitfall. Of course, these old Atari games were played on our PS2, thanks to the games Namco Museum and Activision Anthology. I highly recommend them for anyone who grew up on Atari. Now I just need old-school Frogger.

Since my thumbs were hurting, I decided to take care of some laundry and burn Prison Break to DVD for Jonathan, who, thanks to my endless writeups about the show is interested in watching it. Next show convert: Rich. Bwahahahahaha.

Two more hours until turkey…mmm…turkey.

9:59PM.
Oy vey, I ate too much turkey. Good thing I wore my stretch-waistband pants to dinner at my parents’ house. Everyone was there–Mom, Dad, Samantha, Shawn, Vanessa, Ken, Tamara, and Rich and I. Great food, great company.

I’ll do cardio and double up on my crunches and leg lifts tomorrow to atone for being a piggy today. For the last three weeks straight, I’ve been doing 125 crunches and 100 leg lifts a day, so my abs are once again visible to the naked eye; I’d really like to maintain that progress.
