I’m still working on my Monday recap of the wedding weekend; I’ll be sure to link to it from here once I finally finish it.

Getting home at 8PM almost every night this week has really put me behind on my blog here; I’ve pretty much come home, packed my cooler bag for work, showered, and gone to bed. But who am I to pass up meeting my parents, Rich, and Vanessa’s godmother, Carmelita, for dinner Tuesday night? Or to celebrate finally getting the Notice Monkey© off my back and taking Rich to dinner last night? Yes, I’m fully aware I eat out too much. I’ve already decided that starting this Monday I’m really going to make a conscious effort to eat healthier all around. At least I had salad for lunch the first three days this week. As long as my scale continues to tell me the beautiful lie that I weigh between 117 and 119 pounds and have 19% body fat no matter how loagy or bloated I’m feeling, I’ll continue to believe it. Now I just need to get back into doing my ab work so my two-pack doesn’t revert to a onesie.

I came home after work to do a bit of laundry and attend to Snoops and Caleb before heading back out to meet Samantha at Borders. I promised I’d go with her to meet a prospective wedding photographer. I don’t know about Sam, but I was definitely impressed with the photographer, Amy Wilson. I meant it when I told Amy that if I were getting married today, I wouldn’t hesitate to hire her; she does really good work. But that’s just me. After our meeting, I walked with Sam to PetSmart where we met an adorable white bulldog named Lola. I then walked with Sam back to our cars, laughing at her the whole way as she lugged a 30-pound tub of cat litter. I shouldn’t laugh, though, as I also have the upper-body strength of a kitten. Which will be remedied once Rich and I get our home gym set up in the next few months.

Rich got home late tonight; he worked until almost 7PM and then went by his parents’ house. I did yet more laundry and scared the crap out of myself watching Supernatural (or, as Tamara calls it, Two Hot Brothers). While I enjoyed seeing Jared Padalecki shirtless (thank you, WB), I have to say that between him and Jensen Ackles, it’s Jensen that really floats my boat. If I were a casting agent, I’d cast him as Ryan Phillippe‘s brother in a movie; I think they have a really strong resemblance to each other. But I digress. Back to tonight’s episode–in addition to scaring the bejesus out of me, the episode was funnier than usual with the prank one-upmanship and the Hellhound’s Lair ghost hunting guys. “WWBD? What would Buffy do?” Check out their website. It’s pretty cool, covering a lot of urban legends, some of which have been tackled by the show’s intrepid Winchester brothers.

Once Rich was home, we sat down together and enjoyed the hilarious, awkard, occasionally painful episode of The Office, “Michael’s Birthday.” Loved the fake PSA with Kelly and Ryan’s she says-he says take on office romances. Brilliant. After Rich moved up to the office to work on freelance, I settled in to enjoy Without a Trace. That’s one thing I’m going to enjoy about having a normal, 8-hour, 5-day-a-week job schedule again–being able to watch TV past 9PM.

Now to catch up on the last seven episodes of 24. Tick tock, indeed.
