Photoblogging: A Tree Grows at Lakeshore

I love the barrenness of this tree and the surroundings — they really epitomize how harsh this winter was. Taken during a family walk at Lakeshore Park in Knoxville, TN, 2/23/11.

Photoblogging: Centerpiece

This was the gorgeous centerpiece at the wedding of our friends. There was a candle floating on top, but I thought the flowers floating in water were the main attraction.

Photoblogging: More Snow

We finally got some real snow here on Monday. And by real snow I mean about 4″ here at my house. This is the most snow I’ve seen in the 5 1/2 years we’ve been back in Knoxville.

The dogs’ pawprints were almost immediately covered up again by snow.
Birds on the snowy sunroom skylight — I thought Buster’s head was going to explode watching them.

Photoblogging: Coraline Dressed to the Nines for New Year’s Eve

Rich and I found this little tuxedo onesie awhile back and couldn’t resist picking it up for our girl. It seemed like the perfect outfit for her to wear to celebrate her first New Year’s Eve. Complete with tiny gold top hat, of course.

Photoblogging: Papillon in Snow

This is my best friend Caren’s dog, Willow, on a hike we took during our visit to Colorado in February. She’s at home in the snow. As hot as it is these days, I actually miss the snow.

Photoblogging: Shed

One of my favorite shots taken during an afternoon spent exploring sites like the historic Ramsey House Plantation off John Sevier Highway in South Knoxville.*

*This post would’ve gone up hours ago if my external hard drive had cooperated.
